Meet the House Leader:

My name is Shamiya Hicks and I was born and raised in Alabama. I moved to Georgia after graduating college (Auburn University at Montgomery) in December 2014. I am in my third year of teaching. I am currently in my second year as serving as the grade level chair for my second grade team. At my elementary school, I am a member of the Leadership Team, SACS Committee and Media Center Committee. This is my second year as serving as the advisor for the Sapphire Chapter at Lee Street Elementary. I love learning and I love leadership roles. I am finishing up my Teacher Leader Endorsement and I am very excited about starting my Masters’ Program for Educational Leadership.
